Heirloom Portrait Albums

Vintage Photographs. This is a term that always gets my head to turn. Who doesn’t love to browse through old photos, whether family or architectural? I for one, LOVE to sit down and go through old family albums. The feeling of turning pages to see the next set of images versus just clicking a mouse or arrow key is just so therapeutic.. You can have that too!

Gatineau Ottawa Photographer announcing new & improved product!

Well, it’s not exactly new as we’ve offered portrait albums and memory books since the beginning of our professional career.. BUT, we have found a new vendor to offer even better albums, and we are absolutely in love with the options and possibilities with these scrumptious albums! Our sample albums are scheduled to arrive starting at the end of May and I could not be happier!

These new style of books have a few more customization options such as personalized engraving (for names and dates), peek-a-book windows on the cover to insert an image, and the option of way more colour choices of creamy soft leathers and pristine linens. There’s even rumour of a vegan option in the works! Both album styles still have the professional lay-flat pages that you’ve come to know and love, and the pages are supported in the leather albums to prevent bending, creases and warping.

The best part is that these are hand-made books, which means quality and durability! I love it when I can help out the little guys (and help them grow) AND assure the quality my clients deserve.

Special thanks to the fabulous Troy Grover Photographers for providing us with portraits of the gorgeous and ever so fabulous albums. Sizes range from 4×4 Pocket Albums, and 8×8 to 12×12 for Portrait Albums and Wedding Albums. I can’t wait for you all to see and feel the luxury of these books. Can you tell I’m excited? You should be too!

Mini Pocket Portrait Albums

Mini pocket albums are typically used as portable brag books. Most moms get a duplicate of their portrait album so they carry it in their purse and show off to friends and family, and sometimes even complete strangers because they love them so much! These little mini albums might be tiny, but they are BIG pleasers.  This “pocket pleaser” replaces the 6×6 mini book, which was a little big to be called mini.

Portrait and Wedding Albums

Sizes ranging from 8×8 to 12×12 means your spreads are up to a 12×24 print, which is a gorgeously perfect size to show off your newborn portraits, family portrait experience, or great wedding moments. The most popular size for milestone babies is to get a linen 8×8 album for each session, or to splurge on an engraved leather 12×12 album at the end of the year for a Baby’s First Year album. My personal favourite is the 10×10 as it provides perfectly sized cover to fit on most shelves and take up just enough room on a coffee table, and with the inner spreads being a big but not huge 10×20, I can set it open to a page on display. Wedding clients all go for the 8×8 as a guestbook and the engraved 12×12 as their wedding album to show off the gorgeous creative shots in addition to their wedding story.

A final farewell of assurance..

I have to patiently for my samples to arrive, but having been able to touch them, feel them, smell them (yes, I’m awesome that way!), and flip through the pages is really what set them apart from the next lab. Who knew they would bring them right to my door for a one-on-one experience. I was able to fully evaluate them as a whole product, and not just with these images (as gorgeous and captivating as they are), so I was able to fall in love with them, even though they were filled with other photographers’ images and had other client names engraved on the samples. I fell in love and I wanted them NOW! [insert girly squeal here!] Once these bad boys arrive at the studio, you too will be able to feel them for yourself and decide which option is best for YOUR needs and desires. Did I mention that I absolutely LOVE them yet? I did? Well, I’m doing it again! I am super duper excited to have found a high quality, handmade product that helps the little guys AND allows me to showcase my work and YOUR art the way it was intended to. You WILL fall in love with these heirloom art pieces, and you will create a legacy that further generations will be able to flip through for decades to come..

How do I get my hands on some of these?

The answer is quite simple. You may purchase these lovely art pieces to display in your home from any ordering session with Stephanie’s Photographs. They are available using any images from your portrait session. The most popular sizes are the 10×10 linen cover and the 8×8 leather cover, and a crowd must-have is the mini duplicate pocket album to keep in their purse or office to show off their pride and joy to others.

How do I book a session?

You can call Stephanie directly at 613-371-4594 or email info@stephaniesphotographs.com to find out the best availability for your portrait session.
